Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://fantastically-optimized.gitbook.io/chatcalculator/welcome/commands.md). # Commands ChatCalculator uses the **`/calc` command** to perform mathematical calculations directly in Minecraft. ### Basic Usage The basic syntax is: ``` /calc ``` Both numbers support **long values**, allowing you to perform calculations with large numbers. ### Addition Use **`+`** to add two numbers together. ``` /calc 10 + 5 ``` **Result:** ``` Result: 15 ``` ### Subtraction Use **`-`** to subtract the second number from the first. ``` /calc 10 - 5 ``` **Result:** ``` Result: 5 ``` ### Multiplication Use **`x`** to multiply two numbers. ``` /calc 10 x 5 ``` **Result:** ``` Result: 50 ``` ### Division Use **`/`** to divide the first number by the second. ``` /calc 10 / 3 ``` **Result:** ``` Result: 3 Remainder: 1 ``` The division result uses whole numbers, while the **remainder** shows what is left over after the division. {% hint style="info" %} ChatCalculator currently supports **addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division**. The `%` operator does not need to be used separately because the remainder is automatically displayed when using `/`. {% endhint %} ### Large Numbers ChatCalculator uses **long values**, so you can use numbers much larger than the normal `int` range.
