Make sure **Minecraft 26.2** is selected and that **Create Profile** is enabled, then click **Install**. The Windows installer uses the Java version included with the official Minecraft Launcher, so you don't need to install Java separately. **3** #### Open Minecraft Launcher Open the **Minecraft Launcher** and select **Minecraft: Java Edition**. **4** #### Select the Fabric profile Go to the **Play** tab and select the **Fabric** profile from the version selector. **5** #### Download ChatCalculator Download the [**ChatCalculator `.jar` file**](https://modrinth.com/mod/ccalculator) from its Modrinth page. Make sure you download a version compatible with **Minecraft 26.2** and **Fabric**. **6** #### Open the Minecraft folder Press **Windows + R** to open the Run window. Enter: ``` %appdata%\.minecraft ``` and press **Enter**. **7** #### Open the `mods` folder Inside the `.minecraft` folder, open the **mods** folder. If the folder does not exist, create a new folder named: ``` mods ``` **8** #### Move ChatCalculator into the `mods` folder Move the downloaded **ChatCalculator `.jar` file** into the `mods` folder. **9** #### Launch Minecraft Go back to the Minecraft Launcher, make sure the **Fabric** profile is selected, and click **Play**. **10** #### Use ChatCalculator Once Minecraft has started, open the chat and use the **`/calc` command** followed by the numbers and operator you want to use. Open a terminal and check whether Java 25 is already installed: ```bash java -version ``` If Java 25 is not installed, install it using your distribution's package manager. For example, on Ubuntu or Debian: ```bash sudo apt update sudo apt install openjdk-25-jdk ``` On Fedora: ```bash sudo dnf install java-25-openjdk ``` On Arch Linux: ```bash sudo pacman -S jre-openjdk ``` Fabric's documentation recommends OpenJDK 25 for Linux. **3** #### Download the Fabric Installer Download the **Universal/.JAR** version of the Fabric Installer from the official Fabric website. **4** #### Open the Fabric Installer Open a terminal and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the installer. Then run: ```bash java -jar fabric-installer.jar ``` Close Minecraft and the Minecraft Launcher before running the installer. **5** #### Select Minecraft 26.2 In the Fabric Installer, select **Minecraft 26.2** and make sure **Create Profile** is enabled. Click **Install** to install Fabric. **6** #### Open Minecraft Launcher Open the official **Minecraft Launcher** and select **Minecraft: Java Edition**. **7** #### Select the Fabric profile Open the version selector and select the **Fabric** profile created by the Fabric Installer. **8** #### Download ChatCalculator Download the **ChatCalculator `.jar` file** from its Modrinth page. Make sure the file is compatible with **Minecraft 26.2** and **Fabric**. Fabric recommends checking both the Minecraft version and mod loader before installing a mod. **9** #### Open the Minecraft folder Open your file manager and navigate to: ``` ~/.minecraft ``` If the folder is hidden, enable **Show Hidden Files** in your file manager. **10** #### Open the `mods` folder Open the **mods** folder inside `.minecraft`. If it doesn't exist, create a new folder named: ``` mods ``` The official Fabric documentation lists `~/.minecraft/mods` as the Linux mods folder. **11** #### Move ChatCalculator into the `mods` folder Move the downloaded [**ChatCalculator `.jar` file**](https://modrinth.com/mod/ccalculator) into the `mods` folder. **12** #### Launch Minecraft Return to the Minecraft Launcher, make sure the **Fabric** profile is selected, and click **Play**. **13** #### Use ChatCalculator Once Minecraft has started, open the chat and use the **`/calc` command** followed by the numbers and operator you want to use. If macOS shows a security warning saying that Apple cannot verify the file, open **System Settings → Privacy & Security** and click **Open Anyway**. **5** #### Select Minecraft 26.2 In the Fabric Installer, select **Minecraft 26.2** and make sure **Create Profile** is enabled. Click **Install** to install Fabric. **6** #### Open Minecraft Launcher Open the official **Minecraft Launcher** and select **Minecraft: Java Edition**. **7** #### Select the Fabric profile Open the version selector and select the **Fabric** profile that was created by the Fabric Installer. **8** #### Download ChatCalculator Download the [**ChatCalculator `.jar` file**](https://modrinth.com/mod/ccalculator) from its Modrinth page. If it doesn't exist, create a new folder named: ``` mods ``` Fabric's documentation confirms that this is the correct mods folder on macOS. **11** #### Move ChatCalculator into the `mods` folder Move the downloaded **ChatCalculator `.jar` file** into the `mods` folder. **12** #### Launch Minecraft Return to the Minecraft Launcher, make sure the **Fabric** profile is selected, and click **Play**. **13** #### Use ChatCalculator Once Minecraft has started, open the chat and use the **`/calc` command** followed by the numbers and operator you want to use.
